Allan Rosen - Broker and Property Manager

Mr. Rosen has been involved with commercial real estate since 1985. Prior to his real estate career he was in the retail and wholesale business for 25 years as owner of a successful wholesale and retail music chain with 100 employees. He is an Air Force Veteran and a graduate of The University of Texas with a degree in Accounting. Mr. Rosen has been a resident of Lubbock for over 60 years.

David Powell - Broker

Mr. Powell received his Real Estate license in 1978. He has experience in residential and commercial Real Estate. David has formerly owned businesses in formal wear, window covering and Midas Mufflers. He has purchased and sold businesses, land, multi-unit properties, investments and negotiated leases.

David is a Texas Tech graduate with a BA degree in Business and is working on his Masters Degree. He is a CCIM candidate and has graduated courses in GRI. He works in the commercial division at Westar Commercial Realty in sales, leasing, retail, industrial markets and land.

Bill Young - First Principal Broker

Mr. Young has been involved in commercial investment real estate since 1984. He is a Licensed Broker specializing in distressed, REO properties, apartments and leasing and management of retail properties. Mr. Young is a 1970 graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in Business Administration/ Banking-Finance. Mr. Young is currently serving as Secretary/Treasurer of the High Plains CCIM Chapter and is a partner in Westar Commercial Realty, Inc.

Donna Currey Barnes, CLA, GRI - Brokerage and Property Mgr.

Ms. Barnes received her real estate license in 1979. She has eighteen (18) years combined experience in Commercial Real Estate, Mortgage Lending, and Title Insurance.. She has had extensive experience working with the Secretary of Housing and Urban development, RTC and Home Equity. Donna formerly was an owner of Mortgage Connection Services, which set up correspondent lending services and was approved by such lenders as Empire of America, Norwest Mortgage and CitiBank, etc., in Dallas, Texas.

Donna is a Texas Tech graduate with an associate degree in legal specialization. She carries the Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) designation, is a Graduate, REALTORS Institute (GRI), and maintains a Group I Insurance license. She works in the commercial division at Westar in sales, leasing, management, retail and in the industrial markets.

Barry Comiskey, CCIM - Managing Partner, Brokerage and Leasing

Mr. Comiskey has been active in the commercial real estate field since 1978. He received the CCIM designation in 1983. Mr. Comiskey is active in development, leasing, brokerage, consulting and property management. He holds a BBA and MBA from Eastern New Mexico University and is a former faculty member at New Mexico Junior College. Barry is now Managing Partner with Westar and is Co-owner.

Burl D. Greaves - Broker and Leasing

Mr. Greaves has been a Licensed Real Estate Broker since 1984 and has over 20 years experience in the Savings and Loan Business with 10 of those years as President of State Savings of Lubbock and Southwest Savings of Abilene. He has also been active in land development in Lubbock. A Navy Veteran, Mr. Greaves is a 1966 graduate of Texas Tech University with a B.B.A. Degree in Finance/Banking.

John Owens - Brokerage / Leasing / Self Storage Brokerage / Developement

Before joining the Westar Team in the Spring of 2004, Mr. Owens was an undergraduate at Texas Tech University. While at Tech he was a member of both the Marketing Association and the Men's Tennis Team. Mr. Owens recieved a BBA in marketing and finance in the spring of 2004 and his Texas Real Estate Liscence in the summer of 2004.
Mr. Owens specializes in the brokerage and marketing of self storage facilities in West Texas and El Paso county. He is a member of the Argus self storage sales network, the nation's premier self storage, brokerage and development firm.

Cindy Snell - Brokerage and Leasing

Ms. Snell is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a B.B.A. Degree in Finance with a Real Estate Emphasis (1980) and a Master of Science Degree in Consumer Economics and Environmental Design (1991). Cindy is involved in Community and Civic organizations. She currently serves on the Committee of the Executive Board of Directors for the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra and is a Trustee for The Museum of Texas Tech University Association. She is currently the President (2005-2006) of the Lubbock Alumnae Panhellenic. Cindy is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Lubbock, formerly serving as Community Vice-President.

Cliff Watt, CCIM

Mr. Watt has been active in the brokerage business since 1979. He received CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation in 1979 and has served as President of the Texas Hi Plains CCIM Chapter (Texas Panhandle and Eastern New Mexico) four different terms. Mr. Watt was affiliated with Lubbock National Bank in brokerage, commercial lending and service. He served as Chairman of the Board of McAfee Mortgage and Investment Co., Inc. until sold in 1997 and was a past Vice President of Texas Property Exchangers. He is a graduate of the National Commercial Lending School at Oklahoma University and past Thesis Advisor at the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Mr. Watt holds a B.B.A. from Texas Tech University where he was also a Counselor for the Department of Finance. He serves on the advisory board of the Lubbock Wells Fargo Bank and he is a board member of the Carillon Senior Life Care Community.

Blake Haston Truett - Brokerage and Leasing

Blake graduated from Texas Tech University in December 2004 obtaining a degree in Agricultural Communications, with a minor in Range, Wildlife, and Fisheries Management. While at Tech, Blake completed an internship at the USDA in Lubbock, Texas, where he conducted interviews and wrote reports about various research and science being studied on the South Plains. Blake also served as an intern for former U.S. Congressman Charlie Stenholm in the Congressman's Washington, D.C. office. Blake recently obtained his real estate license, specializing in commercial real estate. He has an agricultural background of cotton and cattle, as he grew up on a farm in Idalou, Texas. His father, Rynn, farms in Idalou, and his mother, Jane, is an academic advisor at Texas Tech University.

Nyoka Lumpkin - Executive Secretary

Nyoka has been an Executive Secretary since 1966 where she began with the Mack Truck Company, (Bruckner Truck Sales) with numerous responsibilities in accounting, payroll, cashier, parts inventory, contracts, title work and general correspondence and office work. For fifteen (15) years she was the sole secretary to the CEO and Managers. After a short sabbatical, she went to Coldwell Banker Rick Canup, REALTORS as personal secretary to the Owner and Principal Broker, Rick Canup, in the residential real estate market.

After coming to WESTAR in 1993, she became Executive Secretary to sixteen (16) salesman and brokers. Nyoka works with the accounting and commission disbursements, contracts for the brokers, general correspondence, listing inventory and packages, as well as greeting clients and answering a large number of incoming telephone calls. She is jointly responsible, along with the other full-time secretary, for the smooth and efficient running of the office and helping the property management office with anything necessary to promote the sales and leasing of our listed properties.

Joyce Young - Porperty Management

Joyce comes to us from an administrative background that includes 20 years experience. She has experience that ranges from general administrative duties to human resources for companies from the steel manufacturing industry to churches to the financial industry.

Joyce joined WESTAR in February of 2006. She has diverse responsibilities as an administrative assistant for WESTAR's property management and assisting Nyoka, the executive secretary, in the operations of the office and assisting all agents.
